No post for the last couple of weeks due to loads of opportunities at i-level and a trip to Bulgaria for a friends wedding. Therefore thought I’d highlight a few blogs and articles I’ve read over the last few weeks and my comments on them.
Top Five Missing Factors on Affiliate Sites from FeedFront Nice article for affiliates who’ve been building a site for a while and are looking to push on to the next level. Feedfront is a US performance marketing magazine and this is their online presence. Although US focused there are some really interesting articles here.
Affiliate Recruitment Podcast from Affiliate Marketing Plan A podcast from Stephanie Lichtenstein and Brook Schaaf on affiliate recruitment. Again, not wholly relevant to the UK market but throws up a few interesting points.
A Bill of Rights for Online Advertisers? from Ben Edelman Ben Edelman is a bit of a legend in the affiliate world for his work in ridding the space of malware and parasite affiliates. This piece is quite heavy going but raises some interesting questions about transparency.
5 Productivity tools for affiliates from Mark Boyd I don’t know Mark and my blog isn’t in his blogroll(!) but this is a useful article for new affiliates.
The use of datafeeds in affiliate marketing A guest post from Jason Dodd. Not the ex Southampton right back, but a guy from Affilorama.com, an affiliate marketing training portal. I’ve never heard of them but this is a good article. At i-level we’re getting more involved in looking into the further possibilities of working with datafeeds and I’m quite excited by some of the stuff we’re coming up with.
Affiliate Incentives from Frostie Good post from my old plazzie scouse mucker on affiliate incentives. We should have something quite exciting happening with one of our merchants in this area soon so keep your eyes pealed…
